Hai Duong, May 30, 2004

My name is Nguyen Thanh Gian. I live in Hai Duong province. I joined the Liberation Army in 1968 and fought in Thua Thien-Hue. The jungle where I was fighting was sprayed with Agent Orange which killed all of the plants.

After the war, I came back home and my whole body began to turn red, itchy, and ulcerous. I have visited many dermatologists but I was told that there is no way to cure this affliction. I was affected by Agent Orange. It is getting worse.

The war has been over for almost 30 years. Is there any way to cure my disease?

Thank you.

trans. Nguyen Thi My Hoa
