Dear Professor Kenneth Herrmann,

With reference to your article in Youth newspaper published on May 24, 2004, I want to write this letter to share with you my situation.

My name is Vo Thi Sau, born in 1954.

Permanent residence: Xom 1 Trung Ha hamlet Que Trung commune Que Son district Quang Nam province.

I lived in an area where American troops sprayed dioxin, so both food and water were badly contaminated. As a result, I was infected with dioxin after drinking water there. Not only me, but also my son is an Agent Orange victim. He lives with persistent pain.

His name is Tran Van Tuan, born in 1985.

I hope that you will send my letter to dioxin manufacturers and the American government. It is high time that they took responsibility for what they caused for the Vietnamese people. They have to help us overcome this pain to settle down our life.

Thank you a lot.

Vo Thi Sau

P.S. I enclose a photograph of my son as evidence.

trans. Nguyen Thi My Hoa
