My name is Voung. I am seventeen years old.
My legs are as thin as three of your fingers, and I suffer through five to ten seizures each day. I live at home with my mother. My father left years ago; he did not want anything to do with me. He was a soldier during the Cambodian war, and fought in the highlands sprayed with Agent Orange by the United States only a few years before.
My mother goes to work in the local rice paddy as often as she can, but is afraid to leave me alone, as my seizures stop only when she can massage me into relaxation.
The Fund is trying to help my mother buy a cow to support us with milk, income, and a small hope for a better life. A cow in Vietnam costs $300 USD.
Can you help me?
